For Win Daily Sports, I built sports-betting projection models on top of an automated pipeline that pulls in, processes, and analyzes large volumes of sports data.
What I built
- ETL pipelines: Wrote scraping scripts to pull real-time and historical sports data from various sites and APIs.
- Projection models: Built the models that analyze player and team stats to surface high-value betting opportunities.
- Automation: Automated the whole flow from extraction through model runs, so the data stayed fresh with little manual work.
- Google Sheets delivery: Worked with the analysts to understand how they actually worked, then wired the model output into Google Sheets via the API and Apps Script — meeting them in the tool they already lived in rather than making them learn a new one.
Why it mattered
Automating collection and modeling cut the time analysts spent getting to insight, and the projections gave the team a more consistent, data-backed basis for their predictions.
