For Scott+Scott, an international law firm, I looked after their main WordPress site. The goal was to modernize a large existing site — better UX through custom components, and meaningfully faster pages.

What I did
- Custom components: Built interactive frontend components inside WordPress that made the site's legal content easier to read and navigate for prospective clients.
- Core Web Vitals: I flagged the performance problems, made the case for fixing them, and drove the work — asset minification, caching, and better image delivery — bringing down load times and improving the site's Lighthouse scores.
- Maintenance and security: Owned the ongoing upkeep — security patching, database optimization, and coordinating with the firm to keep the site reliable through their high-traffic press announcements.
Why it mattered
The site ended up faster and more stable. The Core Web Vitals improvements helped its search ranking, and the custom components gave prospective clients a cleaner experience.
