FuelBuddy India - Franchise Logistics & Tracking App

Core engineer on FuelBuddy's franchise app — built live truck tracking, the CRUD APIs on Hasura GraphQL and tuned them for poor-network areas, and reworked workflows for non-technical staff.

At FuelBuddy, I was a core engineer on the Franchise Application — the app franchise operators use to run their local hubs, manage inventory, and coordinate their delivery fleets.

What I built

  • Live truck tracking: Built a much-requested tracking module that puts live fleet locations on an interactive map, giving operators real-time visibility they didn't have before and changing how they made dispatch decisions.
  • CRUD APIs and performance: Built the data APIs the app runs on with Hasura's GraphQL engine, then tuned them — restructured payloads, added caching, and cut down expensive queries — which dropped response times and kept the app usable even on weak cellular connections.
  • Workflow redesign: Reworked complex multi-step tasks — inventory reconciliation, driver assignment — into simpler flows aimed at non-technical franchise staff, which reduced operational errors.

Why it mattered

Truck tracking made logistics more predictable and cut down truck idle time. The faster backend and simpler UI together sped up onboarding for new franchise partners and reduced support tickets about the app being hard to use.
